The Maintenance tab provides tools for managing your ShieldPress configuration, debugging issues, and performing safe resets when needed.

ShieldPress Maintenance Settings Overview

Export & Import Settings

This feature allows you to backup your current ShieldPress configuration or transfer it to another website.

Useful when migrating your site or applying the same configuration across multiple websites.

Export Settings

Downloads your current configuration as a file
Includes all plugin settings and rules

Import Settings

Upload a previously exported file
Restores all settings instantly

Importing settings will overwrite your current configuration. Always keep a backup before importing.

Reset & Cleanup All Data

This option completely resets ShieldPress to its default state.

This will remove:

All plugin settings
Learned spam data
Logs and history
Temporary blocked IPs

⚠ This action is irreversible.
All data will be permanently deleted.

Use this only when:

Starting fresh
Fixing major configuration issues
Testing the plugin

Debug Mode

Debug Mode helps diagnose issues by logging detailed activity.

When enabled, ShieldPress will:

Log detailed spam detection reasons
Track integration behavior
Help identify false positives

This is especially useful when troubleshooting or during initial setup.

Debug mode may slightly increase log size.
Disable it after troubleshooting is complete.

Uninstall Cleanup

This option ensures that all plugin data is removed when uninstalling ShieldPress.

When enabled, uninstalling the plugin will delete:

All settings
Logs
Learned data
All stored plugin data

Recommended for users who want a clean uninstall without leftover data.

If disabled, data will remain in the database even after uninstall.
